  • Chaos Scatter distributed via Material ID of an object?

I am fairly new to using scatter. I am used to FP like a lot of us. I am sure I missed it, but is there a way to tell scatter to only apply itself to certain material IDs of an object. If I had a big MSO and wanted it to only apply to material ID 5? Is that possible. I am totally aware there are many other ways to work around this, so not really a "show stopper" I was just curious if it could be done?
    Thanks for any insight

Hi! You can do that. Basically, you need to translate these Material ID areas as colors. For scatter whenever there is a white color, it will distribute on it. If it is a black color, it won't.
So, in Multisub tex you could specify which ID you would like to have as a base for scattering. This ID will correspond with the one pointed in your 3d model. The color on this ID has to be white for a full distribution.
