  • Enscape style render enhancement

hello. not sure where to put this question? Enscape has rolled out an AI image enhancement which mainly adds great realizm to foliage and people in a render. I'm wondering if that type of thing would be available for Vray inside 3ds Max? Thanks.

All these things should come to V-Ray first. Isn't V-Ray the most expensive software? We should fund the development of only V-Ray.

Possibly, but there's also possibly many more users of Enscape than Vray.

Chat GPT says that Chaos Group, the developer of V-Ray, does not publicly disclose exact user numbers.

          And you believe it?

          Question:
Why did chaos put ai enhancement in vray before escape?

Answer: Chaos added Al enhancements to V-Ray before integrating them into Chaos Vantage (formerly Project Lavina, often referred to as "Escape") because V-Ray is their flagship rendering engine, widely used across industries like architecture, VFX, and product design.

Yh, lol don't ask AI these things. If people are going to use AI to ask these kind of questions at this moment, we're worse off than with regular (social) media. At least there (some) people still try and think for themselves. If AI doesn't know it's going to lean towards what you feed it or what it feels like you want to hear at this point in time.

Anyway on topic, please don't focus on putting AI in V-Ray and fix the damn bugs and nuisances before putting money and time in that area. There's enough AI for us to experiment with, where these enhancements can be done. But yeah...buzzwords / hype / marketing / moneymoney... deaf ears.... I guess.

If the original post is correct, enhancing people and plants with AI in V-Ray would be good, as they do in Enscape. It's a little off-topic, but I chatted with a friend about her Samsung phone having a 100+ MB Camera (or something like that), and I explained that it isn't possible with the sensor size and is marketing and AI upscaling. She showed me a photo of the moon, but I already knew that Samsung was replacing the moon with an AI moon. The point is that people don't care as long as it works. A photographer would be all up in arms, as it being fake, but the end user doesn't care. Even the iPhone's megapixel marketing is puffing. They divide pixels into four and use that as their megapixels count. It is all smoke and mirrors!
