  • Quick way to split channels on VrayBitmap

The VrayBitmap map does not seem to include individual outputs for each channel, since our workflow includes splitting Metallic, Roughness, Ambient, Emissive on a single bitmap to a RGBA channels our node graph gets rather large if use for example an RGB Tint node to do this rather simple function..

Is there a cleaner way to just expose each channel for this function? OSL Bitmap does for example have those outputs but OSL's have always been tempramental so wanted to avoid using them.

There's no way to currently do this. I've always recommended users to use the RGB Tint node. I think this idea is worth logging into the Ideas Portal for improvement.
