  • Applying affects to Gbuffer MatId selection...

    Hello.
I have assigned a matid to the leaves material in my trees.
When I do a color correction in combustion to the matid selection it seams that it is not antialiased.
    Here's the result:

I use a 16bit RPF and exported all channels.
Is this the best matid selection can get??
The objId selection uses coverage but matid selector doesn't.
Can this only be done with objectId selections??
    Thanks

Yeah, it needs the coverage channel...

See this link (it's from the combustion help file) in this thread

      Thanks Dynedain!
Nevertheless I still didn't figure out how to intercept the coverage with the matid selection.
The objId selection component already has the "use coverage" option but not the matid component
How am I suposed to create this selection??

I think you'll just have to use objID then

you might be better off using 32bit rpf's

You cannot use coverage with mat id. You should use object id instead. I don´t know if it´s a combustion limitation or if it´s how it is supposed to work. Maybe coverage channel has no effect on any other channel but Object ID.
Another annoying issue with combustion is that you can´t use selections of Node render id

You can't get floating point images out of Max 7.5 or before... hence the need for the VrayIMG format
