Just today I came a very interesting thing with my Viz 4 exposure and Vray 1.47.03. The thing is that it appears that if I dissable Viz exposure control (not Active checked), I would not have it affect my work with Vray.
That is not true at least for me and if I am using IES files. The Physical Scale will still affect the Vray solution. The IES intensity gets multiplied by that scale. For example, using a default photometric of 1500 CD and not Active checked. Now just change Physical Scale to 1 and the render area (12 x 12 FT box) gets blown out with GI. Now I set it to like 3000 and GI magically dissapears.
This is not posted in the Problem area because Viz (Max) does the same behavior to itself. If anything maybe the wishlist that perhaps we can get total separation from Viz (Max) Exposure thingy with a switch?
I am posting this so that we should keep an eye on that particular control when using IES or we may get all kinds of trouble. Maybe somebody care to check if their Viz or Max, does the same thing. Viz help says to set that value to match the highest intensity luminaire in the scene (for ies).
