Does VRay 1.47.* DR have better stability in Max than Viz?

Hi Guys,
I've had to stop using DR in VRay with Viz due to the fact that it dies after one or two renders, for no particular reason, and then takes trial and error to get it working again.

Issues ranging from nodes not being contactable, to the image returned from the node coming back black (Even in scenes where there is one teapot and one light source...).

Is DR better with Max? Will spending $2,950AU to upgrade our Viz 2005 to Max 8 ensure that DR performs as it should, without random errors?

I'm sure the ultimate solution would be VRay1.5, but that doesn't seem to be happening any time soon. As it stands at the moment, I'm unable to use VRay for the primary purpose that I purchased it for (DR). If I have to spend the money to upgrade to Max, so be it.

DR is unstable in max 8 too. You have to restart manually the vrayspawners on the pcs involved in rendering veeeery often, specially if u dare to cancel a render.

DR in 1.47.xx versions and previous ones is indeed not very stable. To a large extent this has been corrected for later builds.
