  • Visualize displacement mesh?

Is it possible to visualize the displacement mesh that results from the vray displace mod?

I'd like to see hwo dense my mesh is actually becoming.

I tried using VrayEdge texture but that just shows the original model edges not the resultant ones.

Apply a standard material to the mesh and check the "Faceted" option - if you use some simple lighting, you will be able to see the individial triangles.

Thanks vlado. That's a good trick.

I guess vray doesn't support anything like the wire material, huh?

there is a vrayEdges texture map which draws wireframe on object.

Right, but it doesn't heed displacement edges though...

No, because, especially with 2d displacement, there are no real triangles in the scene.
