Ir Map res

Can someone help me out with some standards for IR Maps...

For instance....My fianl is 3600x2400. What should my map be...800x600...1800x1200?

And an IR map at 800x600 at [-3, 0]....is that better than a map of larger resolution but at [-3, -1]?

My regular output is +/- 3200 x 2700
I'm using full size irr map with -5,-2
High QMC and irr map subdiv settings

Works great..


I tried going to -1 or even 0, but the time versus result was not doing it for me
