  • Vlado post some images done with 1.5

Would love to see some stuff you guys or the people testing 1.5 have done with it?

You can browse http://www.spot3d.com/vray/images/ for some intermediate tests; maybe we'll add more sometime soon.

    Best regards,

Vlado the milk commercials were amazing. Were they using the new sun sky system to light the environment, or was it hdri on the dome light? Just curious. Thanks

dunno, but maybe chaos is releasing a 1.5 demoversion/techpreview with watermark and without support from chaos for testing (on 18th march or so..)

Nope no sun / sky at all. Displacement, 3d motion blur, depth of field and qmc gi. There was one area light and the materials on the characters was using a falloff to give the characters some rim lighting and a little burn out. It was a simple grad in the sky.

Yup, mainly techcnical stuff like the rigging, skinning, particles, cloth, some materials and getting stuff to render.

They were done before 1.47.03 was even out - I think they got started with 1.46.10 or similar...

The water surface in the rock moster ad was done with dreamscape for the mesh and vray for the material. The particles were all done with particle flow (though the can spray in the trex ad was done with realflow) where we used afterburn for all of the dust around the characters feet and we just used a viewport preview for the little water splashes in the rock monster ad.
