  • Different shade level from one computer to the next

    Hi all,

I just got a new machine, and have put the same version of max and the same version of vray as on my other machines, but when I do a distributed render, the squares the new machine is rendering, renders them at a slightly different shade to the old machine, any ideas why this would be.

Also make sure if you're saving the GI cache that both machines have access to the location of the file.

            @ reality3d

Do you have any objects in the scene with different cast/receive GI values.
Could be the "." - "," problem in the regional settings.
Check both your machines, they should be set identically.

            Bets regards,

That would be a great tool to check a list on a bunch of computers and list any differences in the plugins based on the ini files, and the directory listings.

Well i do have a little tool that i wrote for our company that updates the plugins in all the computers based on a simple xml file. It isn't yet perfect, but if some one wants, just say.

P.S. It doesn't it update the plugini.ini yet.

                    Best regards,
