lightcache file path

Can anyone tell me with a definite yes or no whether V-Ray will find a saved light cache file if it's placed in a folder listed under External Files in max? I'm sending a job to another firm to render, and I've had to collect all my resources into a folder, but I'm worried that V-Ray won't automatically find the light cache if I copy it there. I don't have access to a V-Ray license when I submit the job, so I can't re-point to the file when I'm submitting the job.
