    Hi,

    We are experiencing a strange performance issue with a scene at the moment. It's an exterior using hundred's of Vray Proxy trees.

    Our Dual Opteron 275's with 4GB RAM & WinXP 64 renders the scene considerably slower than our Dual Opteron 248's with 2GB RAM & WinXP 64. Whilst rendering both machine builds are at 100% cpu usage (for all cores). For those that don't know: the Opteron 275 CPU contains 2 2.2Ghz cores & the Opteron 248 CPU contains 1 2.2 GHX core.

    Has anyone else come across this, or does anyone know what might cause it?

    Would be interesting to get Vlado's opinion. I am sure he'll be the one to know why this is.

      Try to increase the dynamic memory limit for your scene. If the limit is too low, the threads will "fight" for the limited resource, which may reduce the render times.
