Cheap and easy server with no 10 connection limit.

Just got a Buffalo TeraStation 0.6. It's a got a 480 gig RAD 5 with a gig
network. And no connection limit!

You can also configure it as a non RAD 640 gig drive or a mirrored 160 gig RAD 1. They also make bigger and smaller ones. It's about 9.5"x7"x9" and was only $600. Easy as pie. Plug it in and go. Works like a charm.

This works fine for file sharing, its probably running a version of Linux. However, for those interested, this will not work as the Backburner Manager machine.

Yeah, we use it to store irradiance maps, textures and project files. It was a great solution for our immediate for a file server and was a lot cheaper than buying a dedicated Linux box which would have been the next option.
