  • VraySphereFade... does it work?

    Hello,
I'm using the VraySphereFade plugin, with 3dsmax7.
I have many problems, in fact at first it seem to work but as you move the sphereGizmo somewhere it doesn't work anymore, if you merge other objects it doesn't work anymore, and so on.
Finally: it just work with an empty scene, if you place the gizmo and you don't move it anymore. And you use a perspective view.

Question: does it work well with 3ds max7, or it is only for max8?
And, if it work with max7, how does it work?

    Thank-you so much!

It will work with all versions. As long as vray works with that version.

That might help understand it a little better.

      Thank-you Da Force,
I've downloaded the plugin after reading that tutorial.
I've installed it on more than one pc, and I've tried it with more than one scene, but it keep working in a very bad way.
The scene of the tutorial (made for max seem to work well, but with my scene it doesnt work (or, better, it work ONLY at first, with a very simple scene, after just putting the gizmo: as I change something it doesn't work anymore).

the plugin has a bug with vray 1.47.15. vlado told me that.
probably it works only with vray 1.47.03.

            best regards

The version of VRaySphereFade is for the official 1.47.03 build of V-Ray, so it is unlikely that it will work with other builds. Most of the newer builds include the correct version of VRaySphereFade with them.

                Best regards,
                Vlado
