  • Motion Blur and Digital Fusion

    Hi all -

I've seen a lot of threads about MB and how to save to a RPF file, and use that file in Combustion to create the MB effect -

But does anyone know the workflow in Digital Fusion?

I can't find anything in the help files, tutorials, or anything on the web --

    Thanks,

    DZL

    Nope, afaik.
Definitely not as a filter (has a DoF blur, though.) under "rich pixel"

You could try split the velocity pass(rendered separately) in its RGB components, and use those as multipliers for a conditionate directional blur, however that's done in Fusion.

    Overcomplex...

So, what do you suggest? Motion Blur in Vray takes for-freagin-ever...

Or, should I just attempt this in combustion??

        in combustion is one filter.
and no passes, just a channell to tick.

worth trying it out with the demo at least

Try lowering your subdivisions to 4 instead of 6. Also, you can probably raise your adaptive sampling (global QMC) a bit since everything is going to be blurry anyway.

in other programs it can be done through reel smart motion blur (plugin) if thats so, from vray you need to export motion vector as a special pass, which will contrain rgb information, that will go to reel smart and produce blur.

                        oh boy.
The third thread in the space of two weeks on this...and the infos are simply doubled and trebled.
Making it sticky in the off-topic or something?
