Just got a supplement in my new 3dworld magazine with the reults of the Arch Viz survey.

09- Rendering
Which third pary rendering engine do you currently use in production.

47.7% VRay
25.4% Mental Ray
24.9% None
10.6% Maxwell
8.2% FinalRender

and the list goes on.......

chris, I suppose not. Infact as far as I can recall I havent seen any archviz in maya.... maybe very few in lightwave. Those proggies are just not designed for stuff like that.
I'd like to see more % of vray used in movies/commercials.

now..now...this numbers sound way off....or atleast totally out of contest...how come the sum of those is greater than 100% and there is missing brazil score for example....(confused)

I used to do a lot of Arch-Viz modelling and rendering in Lightwave, but it's global illumination is truly horrible.
From the time I discovered Final Render, then V-ray, I never touched LW for Arch-viz again.
