brightness contrast problem

hi, I am new user of V-Ray and I am not able to get the brightness /contrast with vray with standard directional light (with v-ray shadows)which I get using single standard directional light with scanline renderer (ray traced shadows). I think the skylight is washing out contrast . What is the solution.



Also I want to know whether we can use photometric lights(like IES Sun),and exposure controls in VRay

Make sure you've set the max environment to "No exposure control" and that the default lights are unchecked in the Vray global settings.
