if got a dual core xeon (2nd version) eval box coming from my workstation supplier. i think its this week.
Ill be putting this up against our dual opteron 275 workstation and dual opteron 280 render nodes.

not sure if its a conroe but ill post some benches

Damn.... I can't believe. Maybe it's a fake, but family and model id correct, but stepping tells us it's a an engineer sample.

I would love to see render times E6600, E6700, X6800 compared to AMD x2 4400. If it's worth to upgrade.

The chips are supposed to be in retail today ( I think), so maybe soon. The 6800 has been available but damn pricey.
