  • VrayToon section (with camera clip) - renders black?

    Hi,
I want to make a orthogonal section of a model (city center, urban scale) using a camera with clipping planes and Vray environment Toon effect. Vray 1.47.03.

I can`t get it work. With the VrayToon env. effect turned on -vray seems to ingore the first clipping plane and renders everything that is behind the section in black.
Everythinng is fine when I turn Vray Toon off or when I render with an Vray override material (egdes texture - but its not that good as VrayToon).

Is it a bug, how can I render a toon section ? (I need it for tracing over - a hand sketch)

    Thanks!

    Hi artykris

Have you tried checking 'Optimized Atmospheric Evaluation' and/or ShadeContext compatibility' under system?

Yes I tried - it does not do any good.

Anyways - thanks for this suggestion, Daniel.

you can just add a slice modifier through all your objects for a dodgy workaround
