  • Renderelements get rendered with stripes correctly in 1.5 ?

    Hi Everyone,

While i am not sure, my dongle request did come over to chaosgroup correctly.

at the moment it wouldnt be the time to switch over to 1.5, due to a project in progress.

    Well my question..

in earlier versions of vray, (we have 1.4974), it wasnt possible to renderout renderelements over backburner with stripes.

The problem is, each stripes overwrites the earlier stripes, due to they get the same names. so the renderelements for large singleframe renders are somewhat useless, when you get forced to use the backburner striperendering, which in my opinion still works better for single immages.

Well does this work now with 1.5 ? this for me would be a great step ahead.

      Have you tried Bucket Rendering?

I have found stripes to be very problematic as its a backburner issue... not Vray.

Also you should note that the render elements is now being used from within the 3ds max render elements, unlike previous versions of vray.

If you use the 3dsmax frame buffer, then this should work in exactly the same way as with the scanline renderer. If the scanline works fine with render elements and stripe rendering, then V-Ray should work fine too. If not, it would be something for Autodesk to look into.
