  • IR for a simple pan

I have a camera setup to render 300 frames very slow. Couldnt I render
LC as fly through + render IR map at the starting frame, ending frame, and a couple in between using incramental add to current map and still have a good IR map for the 300 frames? Kind of like the box camera for
    pans.

    Regards,
    Mike

    Yep, that should work

You probably don't need to use the LC in fly through though, unless you are using it for glossy reflections.

Is this a *true* pan? If so, skip the ani. Render one giant image and do it in post.

SO the LC will work saved from just a couple of frames throughout the animation ? If so, that is a real time saver.
        Thanks for the tips

CCS, How would you do that ? Pan the image ? Interesting.

for a simple pan, just render a highres still and animate the zoom/position in post. Even if you have a couple foreground objects, they can be blocked out in post as well to complete the illusion.

actually on a true pan you wouldnt even notice any paralax effects on forground objects. only on a camera move would you see it
