Indeed... But I am concerned about the number of "commercial vray material projects".
I guess I dont mind someone like Evermotion selling materials because it will support their community. So long as its at a very reasonable price.
However they already have problems with illegal copies of Archmodels etc appearing everywhere so I wouldnt be surprised to see copies of their commercial materials everywhere.
I will post details to my website soon.
Regards,
Julius

I spoke to Allan regarding a mini "Siggraph" in Brisbane and he seemed pretty keen. Rest assured he will do anything if you promise him drinks and fame.

The FAQs are a collection of Frequently Asked Questions about this site. If youve got a problem, read the answers below. If youre still stuck up, you can contact us: Click here for the Support-Form.
1. What is that V-Ray thing?
V-Ray is a renderer for 3DsMax, which enables photorealistic 3D renderings. Check out the offical site at http://www.chaosgroup.com
2. What are these materials for?
Our site offers photorealistic, free materials to all V-Ray users. Just download the materials you need and put them in your scene.
3. What does this service cost?
Nothing. We developed this site for free and we want to keep it free. The materials are from V-Ray users for V-Ray users. There is no premium-membership or something like that - every user has the same rights, for free.
4. Can I support your site?
Yes of course. This site lives from your uploads. If youve got a cool material, just download our sample-szene, put your material on it, render a sample pic with our presets and upload the material directly here. So keep up the good work!
5. License
All uploaded materials are free - there is only one restriction: It's not allowed to resell these materials. This is a free project and so are the materials!
Looking for a script that would allow selection of a matlib; allow selection of an object or group (I'm thinking of group 'BUMTURD' specifically); iterate thru materials in matlib, and for each, assign material x to the subject and render using the current render settings, saving the render to <CurrentMaterialName>.jpg in the same folder.
I've seen scripts that claim to do similar things, but haven't found one that works as expected. This would be really slick for cataloguing our own materials.
