  • Vray Physical Camera and Photometric Lights

Are ies lights supported with the vray physical camera?
I can't get them to work unless I increase the light multiplier from 100% to 15,000%. That's not a very physically accurate way of working though.

depends on your camera settings i guess.
some settings are suited for exterior some for interior. remember skylight is soooo much brighter than a lightbulb

Here is a simple render with teapots to illustrate.
      Vray camera settings are:
      f-4.0
      shutter 30
      iso 400
      color mapping gamma 2.2
There are two 100 watt lights in a 20'x20' room. The image should be much brighter than this. I've tried different scenes with different ies lights but always too dim.
