    Hi all,

    just a question:
    i've play'd a bit with LC adaptive/directions only,
VRay sun / domelight with VRay sky mapped, subdivs.:5000 sample size:0,
    PPT.

this is what i get ppt without adaptive:

    and with adaptive:

looks like he dind't calculate the enviremont light.
when i increase the sample size everything is fine.
    ah i'am using 1.49.74
    any ideas?

    second this!
I meant to ask for a while.
Seems to use direct lighting only, of sorts.
And goes back to normal biasing it a tiny bit.
Maybe it's not meant for ppt?

yes, for adaptive ppt there has to be sample size. Otherwise there is nothing to adopt to.

its more there to work with LC (not specifically the ppt part of LC) it will put more samples where they are needed to give you a more detailed finished product

You need to have some *non-zero* sample size for the adaptation to work. If you still wish to get an "unbiased" result, check the "Use directions only" option.
