The Color mapping "changes" are actually a part of the rendering phase.
You can calculate your GI - IR, LC, etc. and save the files.
Keep in mind that you can also use this technic to adjust your VRayPhysical cameras as well - f-numbers, SS, ISO, etc - things that will affect the final image, but however they all use one and the same GI solution.

, but when its like this, wouldn't it be nice to adjust these settings during rendering? (i know maxwlrdfdgvcdfvcx.... ups)

Although color mapping does not affect the light cache specifically, it does have an effect on the noise levels for the irradiance map and other sampling procedures in V-Ray.

ok, but sort of live-update preview, to quickadjust only would be a nice feature imo.

You have the V-Ray VFB color corrections for this purpose

BTW - i found that it's not possible to match phys.cam in viewport with rendering. So, for ex. I see one distorsion in viewport, but another on final image
I just can't seem to trust myself
So what chance does that leave, for anyone else?

Due to the way hardware acceleration works, it is not possible to get the distortion effects in the 3dsmax viewport (at least not easily... something like RedViewer might be able to do it).
