  • render passes with quad macpro

    curious about this one...
our studio just got a macpro with the 2x core duo processors (quad). i was running some test renders on it today, and the first thing i noticed is that it only does one prepass for the irradiance map even though my scene had a min / max of -6 / -3. i did double check and the multipass option was turned on, so i can only assume that this has something to do with the way the processors handle the rendering info? if anyone has more detailed insight into how this works i'd like to know...

My mac pro doesnt do that. You might have DR turned on?

If you are in DR mode, it is doing all the passes at once and so you see it as one.
Otherwise make sure the < Multipass> option in the IR menu is ON.
