exr format

Is anyone having a problem saving exr format using a network render. I can do it local but when I submit to backburner or deadline I just get errors.

since I don't think this is a vray problem I didn't put it in the problems topic.

Hi,

Did you double check your paths? Can you render using another format?

Although we had no problems with the network render, we have a whole set of problems with the current exr implementation.
You can't put all renderelements into one exr. You can't use the datawindow. We had problems with the gamma settings.
We currently try to work around this with rendering to vrimgs. We have set up a postrender callback that will convert each vrimg into an exr after each frame. First tests seem to work fine.

yeah the paths seem to be fine. I can render to hdr format no problem through backburner and deadline. I hadn't thought of the vrimg to exr option. I'll have to see if deadline will allow me to save out vrimg then I can create a post render script to do the conversion automatically.

I want to get this worked out before I try to impliment LWF here at our studio.

you will have to use the vray framebuffer save dialog.
