2 sided material and shadow density

  • 2 sided material and shadow density

    Been messing with the sun/sky system, along with the 2 sided material. As you can see in the video, the canopies look fine and all that, but the shadow created by the sun, is the same density regardless of whether is something 'solid' or something with the 2 sided material. Is there a way around this, using the 2 sided material or am I forced to use the fast SSS or something.

    or translucency?

      If you want them to cast transparent shadows, you need to make the base material itself transparent (e.g. with an Output map in the opacity slot).
