  • I have solution for "affect shadow" bug in new RC3

    My fix for

    "Known issues:
(*) "Affect shadows" and "Affect alpha" options do not work for VRayMtl's inside a Multi/subobject material. This will be fixed as soon as possible"

    Lukx is coming with help

If you still need to use for example glass in mulisub material first create vray blend material and as base material put this your material in which you need to use affect shadows. That's it Affect shadows will work. I didn't check affect alpha cause I never use it.

This is interesting... so you can use blend material as a wrapper?

Ah, right, of course. That will work. I didn't think of it Only for the shadows though.

      Best regards,

          Any updates on this topic?

I still cannot get any light throu a Vray completely transparent glass material...(No caustic and effect shadows ON, of course).

And turning off shadow casting for the glass takes away the nice green color...

          thanks

I would try and mail Vlado, in the case, Gio.
Maybe in newer builds this has been fixed...
