  • v ray spawner and viz 2006 after trial expired

    hi all

it is possible to run viz 2006 by vray spawner ( distributed render ) after viz trial expired at second computer ? I just asking because with backburner it is possible ( net render). i Have one stand alone licence to viz 2006 and one to vray. Second PC is only render node.

If it works with backburner, it will probably work with DR too.

      Best regards,

I don't se any reason why the trial version wouldn't work. AFAIK it's the same as the full version but without a SN or authorization. Which is exactly how my render slaves are set up (I installed from full version CD, not a trial CD but I think it's the same). Works for DR and backburner. You can use the portable license utility to export the license to the other machines to make sure everything is working OK, then transfer it back. I had some trouble getting DR to work with VIZ2005 but with the help of the forum I got it going. Now I just copy my vraydummy.xml and .max file around to the other slaves whenever I upgrade and everything works great. Search the forums and you should be able to find something to help you out.
          www.dpict3d.com - "That's a very nice rendering, Dave. I think you've improved a great deal." - HAL9000... At least I have one fan.
