    Hi

    We are trying to render a scene with displaced grass which occupies possibly a tenth of the view but it crashes due to lack of memory.

    Before we upgraded to 1.5 there was no problem - does anyone know of a way to get round this ?

    I vaguely remember that changing the Max Tree Depth, Min Leaf Size or Face/Level coef in the System dialogue might be the answer ?

    You may try to set default geometry to Dynamic ? But it's slower.
    I just can't seem to trust myself
    So what chance does that leave, for anyone else?

      I have reduced the Max Tree Depth and it reduces the ram being used but do take alot longer to render.

      If all else fails I will change to Dynamic.

          You can try to increase the Edge length for the displacement, if you use 3d displacement.
