  • Max file with 2 cameras is 32MB

I have saved out two vray cameras to a new max file which I need to send to someone. The resulting Max file is 32MB! No geometry - just two cameras!

Any idea if you can purge a max file, or is this an issue with vraycameras?
    Kind Regards,

        Have you tryed gabage collection?

In the Maxscript listener type in "gc()" without the inverted commas and hit enter. Do this three or four times and save the file.

        Cheers

gc() will just flush memory - it won't alter your file size.

Do you have any layers in the scene?

actually in the past the garbage collect would definitely help with file size. That is supposed to have been fixed in max 8 i believe.

try to check your obj reference or file, I had this problem in the past and this solved it.
