1.5.RC3 Won't Install

I have successfully upgraded RC2 to RC3 on several of my farm computers but one keeps giving me the error that 3DS Max.exe is running, close application... but I've verified that it is not running. In fact, I only have 5 processes running on this computer. I've rebooted several times without any change. I've got Max 8. Any ideas?

do you have the VraySpawner installed as a service?
Because this automatically boots max up on windows restart...You would need to close the VraySpawner first, which would kill max, or kill the spawner process using the task manager, then kill the max process....

If, like you said, max isn't showing up as a process in the process list, then i have no idea, but this indicates it isn't running...
