I've started using 32 bit EXR images and have a question I'm hoping someone can help me with. It seems that my 32 bit images don't have the light resolution they should. For example when I adjust the exposure of an hdr image from the library I have the pure white areas will adjust down followed by the darker areas like I would expect. However the images I render when I adjust the exposure everything just gets grayer. Is there a setting I'm missing for adding all of the light data to the image? I've tried saving both .exr and .hdr with the same results. Thanks.

Should answer all your questions. Basically a bug in RC3 which is corrected in RC4 (not yet offically released) but as noted in the thread above there are workarounds.
p.s. I just did a search to find the answer.. something you could have done too

So is there any way to get true 32 bit images using render strips with these workarounds? I couldn't figure out a way.Comment
