Updated the matrix exposimeter to fix the annoying bug happening on its first run. Stay tuned for some whacky addition...

A "strange" update which seems to work really nicely, bless VRay.
There's now a checkbox at the bottom of the script window which will attempt to white-balance the physcam automatically.

Pick it up at the first post, along with a couple of samples of the works.

This image was done using LeLe exposure script. How can i avoid the part of the sky being overexposed?

It should work to add more weighting to the matrix area(s) that are containing that part of the sky, of course it will darken the rest of the image.

Perhaps just render that sky area at a lower exposure and at it in PS.

Or, if you're using the .255 method, try and raise the multiplier a bit, as that will lower the sky brightness for the same exposure of the rest of the scene.

Just giving this seemingly amazing tool a whirl. I keep getting a maxscript error problem - see options.

                    Any ideas?

We are on Max8 SP3 with Vray 1.5 RC3 on a 64bit XP Pro systems

(It says: Out of scripter memory - see options')
                    Kind Regards,

you can specify how much memory maxscript is allowed in the Max preferences. You might wanna try raising that limit.

                      Regards,
                      Thorsten

Got it at 200MB now, but still no joy. It is a complicated scene. Should it be even higher?

Ah - upped it to 1500MB and it seems OK. I had assumed that the original value of only 7.5MB would mean you wouldn't need to assign so much RAM.

Tricky i think you're doing it too optimistically.
The out of scripter memory has nothing to do with scene complexity, rather with framebuffer size.
As from that i generate stuff i let maxscript churn, you should aim to have a picture NOT BIGGER that 150px in its longest side.
That will fix issues, i reckon.

Ah - I see. Typically we render about 4000 pixels accross and I think I left it at the default values of 15%, so that will have been it!

Cheers for such a great tool.

Is it just me or is the exposimeter broken in max2008 with vray1.5. When I hit expose, I am getting the following error message:

                                Inknown property: "twoLevel_userQMCSamplerThresh" in V_Ray_Adv_1_50_SP1:V_Ray_Adv_1_50_SP1

                                Any ideas?
