    Thank you for the explanation I now have a better understanding.

    I thought the examples used light cache because of the dots. I recalled light chache as showing dots in the prepass and QMC as squares. Still very new toVray, hopefully I'll get it sorted out over time.

          @Lele : when min is set to -6 , does i matter how the rQmc sampler are set? I'm thinking about the adaptive amount.

            I'm not sure i understand what you mean, ern, but i'll give it a shot.
            They will have some influence, of course, but the best way to drive the irmap sampling is in my opinion through the three thresholds (color, distance and normal) sliders.
            rQMC changes will cascade through all qmc evaluations, as far as i understand it, so it may or may not be desirable.
