  • noise in image question

    I have rendered this image

    http://openrang.server269.com./test-posts/living02.jpg

Settings used: Secondary bounce - QMC, Min rate- negative 6, max rate-0, HSph subdiv- 50, Interp samples 30. Rest default

There is noise on the wall and ceiling . esp noticable around shadow cast by TV. Any advice on which setting to change to eliminate this? Any other C&C about the image also welcome

    Thanks for any help

If the noise is coming from an area light at the window, you can try to decrease the QMC sampler Noise threshold a bit (maybe 0.005) and/or increase the subdivs for the light.

      thank you for the reply.

I have a Vray light at the window. Is this considered an area light?

would that be the rQMC sampler?

the rQMC Sampler is found in the render settings (it's a seperate rollout).

And yes, a vray light is always an area light.
