  • DR and WIN XP 64

I just setup a new dual quad machine but I can't get the DR rendering to work. It doesn't seem able to find the license on another machine in the network.

Can someome walk me thru this setup. It's been a while since I did this and I'm not sure what was needed to get it to work. Thanks for the help. I really need to get this thing working.

    I'm not using a dongle.

    EDIT:
I loaded 1.47 and it found the license without a problem and worked.

I installed 1.5 rc2 over the old version. I installed the 64 bit version of WIBU and then copied the cgauth60.dll file. I pointed the install at the computer with the license. I can't figure this out for the life of me. The license server is saying: error in data consistency or system buffers full for the new computer.

I have three other installs on win xp 32 that are working fine.

Using the software license option will cause V-Ray to not look for a license at all when 3dsmax is started in slave mode, either for DR or backburner rendering, so this should be working fine. When you say that it doesn't find I license, you mean that it doesn't find it in a regular GUI session of 3dsmax?

    Best regards,
    Vlado
I only act like I know everything, Rogers.

      Thanks for the reply Vlado.

I went ahead an upgraded to RC3 and all is well now. Still couldn't get RC2 to work however, on the new machine. RC3 worked right away.

These dual quads are fast with vray! Can't wait for RC4!
