  • Rendering - Transforming Vertices ?

    Hello friends !

I work with Linked Geoemtry files from Revit in 3dsmax.
For some reasons, vray needs a very long time for preparing the rendering.

In the current task I always can read the message: Transofrming vertices..

Well the linked geometry is very massiv, and so I wanted to ask, if there is any way to reduce this transforming, or to bring it away for the calaculation with vray.

thank you for every little help,
    Bernhard

I have found a lot of imported geoemtry from revit has too many verts and needs welding. I don't know if this is the software, or just the way people are building these models.

if I remember correctly this is a known issue with rc3, but I seem to remember vlado saying it's fixed in newer builds.

      edit:

      here's a thread about it:

Bummer, I just upgraded to Viz 2008 and am getting the Transforming Vertices problem .... it stays there seemingly stuck for a while with cpu usage at a minimum, but most of the time I get an application error and Viz closes.
