  • Two displaces on one object?

Is this possible? I've tried adding two vray displace modifiers and the top one seems to cancel out the bottom one. The only way I could get it to work is by using a material displace on each material, but then I don't have the control of the vray displace. Any ideas? Am I just missing something?
    Thanks

You could use either the blend, mix or mask material to add your displacement maps together, and drag it into the material slot of the vraydisplacemod. You dont have individual control over each but you still retain the vraydisplacemod options.

It certainly is possible. To an extent anyway.

Setup your materials in a multisub material, and put your displacement map in the displacement slot of the vraymaterial. Then drop a vraydisplacement mod onto the object, and tick use object mtl.

And just assign the appropriate materials to the appropriate polys and that should be it.
