Yes but it you rotate the north of the Max daylight, vray sun does not acknowledge this.

I'm fairly certain Vraysun doesn't need to know where North is. It's irrelevant. The main thing Vraysun keys off of is it's height.

If you align and parent the VRay sun to max daylight sun, and align and parent the vray sun target to the center of the max daylight compass, then the VRay sun will move with the Max sun when you adjust time of day, direction of North, etc...

Yes, make a max daylight system. Make a vraysun.
With the sun selected use the align tool (alt-a), check x,y,z, click the daylight sun. Then use the parent tool to make the vraysun a child of the daylight sun, then turn off the daylight sun.

I'd recommend doing the parenting step before the aligning step... makes it easier to control which items you're selecting and parenting/aligning to.

You guys don't understand, the colour of sun light in the morning is different to the colour of sun light in the afternoon. so therefore north is relevant so that the sun knows were to set and rise. I gather that vray sun does not take this into considereation yet but maybe in future versions will.

Vray changes the color of the sun/sky system depending on the height of the sun.

I think i read somewhere when Vlado explained that the sun color actually depends only on it's height. Doesn't matter if it's morning or evening.

                        indeed.
What changes from morning to evening is the air temperature, hence the amount of suspended humidity and the air thickness.
