  • Backburner removes alpha channel from tiff images

So I installed Max9 SP1 on my machine, and rather stupidly couldn't figure out why our nodes wouldn't stitch our images together. Eventually made the connection that it was SP1 (which as you'll find out has turned out to be a pain!).

Fair enough, installed SP1 on all the nodes and the images stitch together again. Then we start noticing that tiff images are having their alpha channels removed when the stitching takes place. wtf?!

Have had to resort to using tga files which I suppose is a temporary fix. Anyone have any idea why backburner is doing this?
