  • Changing the Resolution?

    Hi Everyone,

I just had a question pretaining to controlling the resolution of renderings. Currently, I have been rendering an image that only comes out to about 72 ppi. My client wants a resolution of 150 ppi. Also, my client would like the image to be able to fit on an 11 * 17 inch peice of paper. I know these things are most likely controlled in the "Common Parameters" rollout, but how do I controll these things specifically?

    Thanks for the help!

    Phil

A quick way of doing it is punching those specs into a new Photoshop Document and them converting from 300 to 72 DPI and that will give you the number of pixels you need to render in max.

You could try the incredible "Print Size Wizard", which is found under the "Rendering" menue.

Max only works in pixels so it is as simple as 150x11=1650 and 150x17=2550 so 11x17 @150ppi is 1650x2550 (without borders)
