  • vray light vs. omni with vray shadow

When wanting very soft shadows would it be better to use a vray light sphere in a light fixture or an omni with vray shadow? Trying to do some tests now. Problem is that when I need it there never seems to be the time to do all the tests....so I never end up being completely satisfied with the result.

If the light is relatively small, then it really doesn't matter. The only difference will be that the point light will not be visible in reflections, whereas the sphere light can be seen by default.
