  • black shiny material

I'm having a problem getting a black shiny material. I have a scene where a guy's eyes morph from normal to very large bug eyes. The final eyes should be black and shiny. Everything I adjust only makes the eyes go grey. If I turn off trace reflections, I get nothing at all. How do you get black and shiny?

It shouldt work fine, aslong as youve got something to reflect.

    This is workin for me

    -diffuse = 0,0,0
    -Reflect= 255,255,255
    -Fresnel =on
    -Refl. glossiness = .9

    hope it helps

      Ahh, reflections..

All my objects are matte objects (only rendering the eyes).. I guess I could put my background image sequence in the environment slot, right?

Shouldt do the job, or in the reflect/refract override.
