  • different results in RCx to RCy

    hi ho

some of you maybe know I offer a render service for Vray
To ensure a propper rendering I up- and downgrade the renderfarm for each job to the Vray version my client use
depending on the job the differents between 1.47 to 1.48 to 1.5 RC3 are massive
brightness noise-grain sunlights vrmeshes GI ...

this weekend I was not told my client uses RC4 so I did the job in RC3
    all images wrong - sunlight ignored - vrmeshes damaged - client F*** - me too - re-rendering

I dont mind about earlier versions then 1.5
that die out more and more

to avoid a similar problem as I had this weekend my question

do the current RC4 render a scene made in RC3 as RC3 whould ?
    what about RC5 .. RCx
do RCx render identical to version x minus y ?

    Andre

Please email me directly for any problems related to unofficial V-Ray builds to vlado@chaosgroup.com

To answer your questions, all RCs should render files created with previous RCs in identical way. If they don't then this is a bug and I would like to take a look at the scene(s), if possible - without those there is really nothing that I can say.

    Best regards,
    Vlado
I only act like I know everything, Rogers.

      just to close this thread
I did the render in rc3
      scene made in rc4

so visa versa should all be fine
that saves me to creat an additional batch if you are right
      future will show me

      thx Vlado
