  • Vray Displacement Modifier

    Having problems applying VrayDisplacementMod at the sub-object level. Is is possible to use the modifier this way? Example, I'm working on building that I intend to apply a brick surface texture. So I apply an Edit Mesh modifier, select the sub-object polygons, and then add a VrayDisplacementMod. However that modifier seems to affect the entire object not just the selected polygons.

    Any help is geatly appreciated.

    the displacement modifier does not respect sub object selections.

    what you can do is give you selection a unique ID then use the 3D displacement option, check "use object mtl" and vary the displacement maps in a multisub mat.
