  • PROJECT... R3 "transforming vertices problem". NEE

Currently unable to move forward with the project as vray just won't render the file. Send an email out to chaosgroup but I'm hoping someone can read this and send me the newer builds which apparently has this fixed. Please help!

Image comes out in like 1 second in scanline but won't get past "Transforming Vertices".

its a revit model that we were supplied with... comes in as thousands of objects. Every piece of geometry is its single object.. Can't collapse because it takes forever and when you try to render with vray, it goes into "transforming vertices" and stalls. Its a bug. I did a search and found a topic on it.

      Its a 50+ storey tower.

Hm. Have you tried to export some of 'em/all to VRay proxies ? We used newer builds before the "BIG coming" ( )final( ) and this problem was no longer ours. But, I found it's sometimes usable ...
I just can't seem to trust myself
So what chance does that leave, for anyone else?

          hey

well this happens to me when i have autocad and revit files however it deals with the way you import models it will always tranform them in the begginning like that. im assuming this is a large file becuase it takes so long. however there is no way to avoidj it and i doubt there is a bug. my autocad and archicad scenes have always done this.

Hope it helps. try minimizing the polygons on some things or creating proxies etc.

um, its a R3 bug, Once we upgraded to Vray final, the problem went away.
