Transforming Vertices and DR

When I enable DR it hangs on "Transforming Vertices" for a LONG time. It only happens with DR enabled.

Is the RC3 issue still around?

I also get an error with DR that my primary machine is not responding. This is the main machine not a slave.

Any help? Related issue?

Most likely it isnt transforming vertices yet but in the progress of saving the file (wich needs to be saved to be sent to the DR slaves of cours). If you see "Saving..." in the statusbar then that's why...

Thorsten is right, when you a start a DR rendering, V-Ray needs to save the 3ds Max scene so that it can be transferred to the render slaves. Depending on the scene, this may take a while.

I've been having this same problem. sometimes it renders straight away, other times it freezes for ages, and I've killed the process before it starts. Why would the same file work once then not again? I am using max 2008, 1.5final and 9 DR nodes. The file takes 1 second to save normally.

I realise this problem might be fixed in Sp1, but I am waiting till sp2 before upgrading all machines.
