Dongle question...posible problem

hi all,

iv installed the dongle and have vray running fine on my pcs, but I own 2 licenses and can only get one computer working at a time (inc across the network)...this to me says theres only one license on the Dongle....is there a way of finding out how many licenses there are on a dongle?

This might be a bit of a problem for me as I might have a large animation job starting in a few days (a national tv advert) and Chaos group are shut till the 10th so if my dongle only has one license on it how can I get another one in the next few days?

that conferms theres only one license on the dongle....arse.....


how am i doing to get another by the end of the week...Ill have to email Bluegfx again and get the to post another dongle, sence it was there mistake (I did ask them for 2 dongles) i hope they wont charge me another £30.

Contact Chaos, I believe they can help you reprogram the dongle on site

If you have more than one license, you can either get a dongle for each of them, or have one dongle reprogrammed for all the licenses, or any other combination of dongles/licenses as you need.

Well, Iv bought 2 licenses but only have one on the dongle...can chaos group (or bluegfx) add the extra license to it tomorrow over the net or somthing?

Yes, it can be reprogrammed remotely; send us an email to vray@chaosgroup.com and we'll let you know what is the procedure.
